Course Title: Facilitation Skills

Who should Attend:

Those involved in the process of group facilitation, who need to guide and manage the discussion process to achieve outcomes which are productive to all parties.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the way people interact in a group situation.
  • Guide discussions and clarify objectives.
  • Focus the group processes through the use of excellent facilitation skills.

  • Review of group objectives/Learning Logs.
  • The role of the facilitator?
  • Maintaining control.
  • Achieving results.
  • The key skills: observing, listening, recording, giving feedback.
  • Maintaining participation.
  • Appropriate interventions.
  • Recording and agreeing the results.
  • Personal Action Planning.

Duration: One or two days.
