360 degree feedback - Appraisal360 Authorised Practitioner

Staffordshire Business and Environmental Network.

“Staffordshire Business & Environmental Network is delighted to be working in partnership with David Chesters of Track Training Services. David’s company has provided numerous Management Training sessions to delegates attending SBEN training events. Although these events have an emphasis on environmental issues the management training adds value and is seen as vitally important by the Network’s Organising Committee and ordinary members.

David’s presentations are always lively, interactive and thought provoking. The feedback, from delegates, on satisfaction is invariably in excess of 90% and with this level of success it goes without saying that we will continue to use Track Training Services in the future”.

David Hallam - Business Development Manager

Wincanton Logistics

“We asked Track Training Services on to our site to deliver a ‘Train the Trainer’ course to our on site trainers. We received an excellent, friendly service from start to finish. David, the course tutor, took a genuine interest in our business and the needs of the site in order to tailor the course to our trainers’ specific requirements. Trainers were provided with individual coaching, group exercises and a safe environment in which to test their new-found skills. We are very happy with the service we received and will be using Track Training Services in the future for our ongoing training needs.”

Staffordshire Business and Environment Network Conference.
Dave Chesters in action at a recent Staffordshire Business and Environmental Network programme

Track Training Services got an opportunity to present at the SBEN conference on 'Environment Management Training' recently. This took place at SITECH Training and Conference Centre, SOT on 3rd November 2004. There were some 25 delegates and we all had an excellent and informative day. My specific slots covered Employee Development, Leadership/Team Building and Setting Achievable targets. Despite the impression which may be given from the photo, this is an excellent Team Building/Leadership exercise!

We have continued to add value to SBEN events, with very positive feedback for several years now.

Groundwork Stoke-on-Trent and the  ‘Young People - First Chance’ Programme.

Groundwork Stoke-on-Trent is part of a Federation of Groundwork Trusts whose aims and objectives are to build sustainable communities through joint environmental action.  Within Stoke-on-Trent, Groundwork seeks to ‘work in partnership to enhance the lives of people living, working and learning in Stoke-on-Trent’.

The purpose of the ‘Young People – First Chance’ programme was to enable young people aged 16-24 from a variety of backgrounds across Stoke-on-Trent, to receive training in the basic requirements of the workplace – including key skills such as IT, Health and Safety and Environmental Awareness.  The scheme has helped raise the skills, confidence and aspirations of dozens of young people across the city, increasing the pool of competent employees within the city.  Each young person was provided with a weekly training allowance over 6 months and a work placement with a local company.

Track Training Services were invited to become involved in the programme in October of 2002 and our involvement extended until September 2003. Our role was to provide Management Development programmes for appropriate Supervisors/Managers within the host placement organisations in the Stoke-on-Trent area.

This entailed making contact with the decision makers within the host organisations to discuss the benefits and added value to be gained from increasing the competence levels of their Supervisors and Managers. A wide range of workshops was developed to meet the needs of these organisations, which were then delivered at a time and place convenient to all parties.

By the end of the programme Management Development Training had been provided for 14 local organisations, covering 56 training days and including more than 70 delegates.

The following organisations have benefited from the programme:

  • Potteries Association for the Blind
  • Hillchurch House Nursery.
  • British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
  • New Victoria Theatre.
  • Holdcroft Group.
  • SCFC in the Community.
  • Westcroft Nursing Home.
  • Greenway Hall GC.
  • Clive Durose.
  • Ryland Peugeot.
  • S-O-T City Cemetries.
  • Farmec.
  • CD Bramall.

The following topic areas were covered:

  • Recruitment and Selection.
  • Time Management.
  • Assertiveness.
  • Effective Leadership and Team Building.
  • Coaching Skills for Managers.
  • Dealing with Difficult People.
  • Appraisal Skills.
