Course Title: Persuading and Negotiating Skills

Those who may need to negotiate with a wide range of colleagues, customers or clients at all levels. The programme introduces delegates to a wide range of skills and processes to achieve results.

  • Tutor and candidate introductions.
  • Agreement of Objectives/Learning Logs.
  • Define and Understand the term ‘Negotiation’.
  • Understand the basic 4 Step Model which leads to successful Negotiations.
  • Prepare thoroughly and professionally for any Negotiating situation.
  • Understand the need to achieve a ‘Win-Win’ situation.
  • Understand the TECHNIQUES used by Effective Negotiators.
  • Understand and practise the key SKILLS used by Effective Negotiators.
  • Identify strengths and improvement areas as they apply to theirown working environment.
  • Take part in practise negotiating sessions and receive feedback.
  • Build their confidence in their own skills.
  • Produce an Action Plan for implementing the skills used during the Workshop.
